ABOUT THE POSITION:
Our R&D team is focused on applying cutting-edge computer vision technology to extract knowledge and insight from video. We use a variety of techniques and approaches, ranging from well-known problems in computer vision such as object tracking or camera calibration to most recent challenges such as video scene understanding. At Metrica Sports you will:
-Work as applied research designing deep learning architectures to solve complex real problems in sports
-Improve algorithms in our current automatic systems for player and ball tracking, field detection, event recognition, scene understanding, among others.
-Be part of a small highly skilled team focused on researching and developing computer vision solutions for sports data analysis.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
-You are crazy about sports.

YOU ARE A GOOD FIT IF:
-You are B.S or M.S (PhD is a plus) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Machine learning or related fields.
-You have 3+ years of research experience in Computer Vision/Deep Learning projects
-You are able to apply scientific methodology in an industry setting.
-You are proficiency on Python and C++
-You have experience in object tracking problems
-You have knowledge about 2D-3D geometry view in computer vision problems
-You have proven knowledge and practical experience with Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) applied to real problems (you should know at least one of the following deep learning frameworks: TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, MxNet, CNTK)
-You have experience with mathematics/science/engineering python tools such as: Scikit, Scipy, Pandas,etc.
-You have experience/knowledge in image captioning and scene understanding on video sequence
-You are self-driven and value autonomy
-Fluent in written and spoken English.
WE WOULD VALUE:
-Experience with camera calibration, reconstruction problems, structure from motion, etc
-Experience/knowledge in reinforcement learning and deep reinforcement learning
-Experience in optimization problems
-Experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP) problems
-Experience in Machine Learning for recommendation system
